AGLEX HOUSE: Th e design solution for this rehabilitation and extension project emanates from a strong belief that a green design approach will provide the client with not only a modern office building but one that is user friendly and uses energy efficiently. Interestingly, the point of departure for this design is an already existing building that imposes some limitations like a fixed orientation and setbacks from the property boundary lines. While maintaining some of the old building’s features, VK Green Architects gave the building an entirely new exterior with a delicate balance between large glass openings to allow in a gracious amount of sunlight while employing sun shading devices to protect the eastern facade (front of the building). Th e color composition draws from AGLEX color themes as well as the architects’ ingenuity.
